The Royal Furmyns

The furmyn commissions began several years ago and have been one of our most popular choices for commissions. It is as delightful for me to make them for you, as it is for the recipient who receives the finished piece. (The piece above is my very own, ‘Mushy Peas’). Because these can be quite pricey (depending on the amount of detail and/or size, I offer specials around Christmas time (and have done so ) for the past two years. If you want to wait until Christmas, just know that they are quite popular and I can only paint a certain amount in time for Christmas. The best time to place your order is the beginning of October (and you will likely see my specials pop up around this time if you are signed up for my newsletter or follow my instagram or facebook page ). I will have a cut-off date and a limit on the amount of commissions I can take. Paintings take time and there just aren't enough hours in the day. I am a one-person show!

If you absolutely cannot wait, I offer furmyn commissions off-season but they cost more (the reason being, I am generally working on my personal painting projects and need the time to focus on these throughout the year. 

Here is a list of sizes and general pricing. These prices include cost of materials, research to conceptualize and production.

*Please note: if you want something with A LOT of little details (added props and such, the price will increase). Depending on the photo you send me, I will decide whether a square or rectangular shape will work best for the composition. Please add $250 to any additional animal you would like added in the same frame, noting that I would need to use one of the larger sized formats (18 x 18 and up). 

12 x 12 = $350

12 x 16 = $375

16 x 20 = $550

18 x 18 = $595

18 x 24 = $800

24 x 24 = $1000

24 x 36 = $1250

Please note, we DO have a layaway option if you would like to pay in 2-4 installments. We do require a 50% non-refundable down-payment for ALL commissions. (Layaway option is not available for yearly Furmyn promotions (usually between September-December).

Payment is accepted through e-transfer and Paypal. 

IMPORTANT….

Are you interested in moving forward? Great! Please send me several of your favourite HIGH RESOLUTION photographs and a character description of your soon-to-be immortalized royal furmyn(s) of choice to the email below. **Please note that compositions work much better when limbs of animals aren’t cut off in the frame of the reference photograph and the image itself has good light and colour contrast, with very minimal blurring. I highly recommend getting help from a photographer friend/family member to get help with this. The more detail I have to work with, the better I can capture the personalization.

Finally, I ask you to let me use a certain amount of artistic freedom and choice when rendering your painting. If you like what you've seen on the gallery page of the furmyns, you'll most certainly be happy with the finished result!
